Lead Pastor

Brent Tevebaugh, whose mother predicted he would be a preacher at a very young age, has been pastor at CLF since 2000. He has been married to the love of his life, Janet for 45 years. They have 3 children and 8 grandchildren and 2 great-grandsons. Their oldest is Amanda and she is married to Lee Carmichael. They live in Chattanooga with their granddaughter Coco. Ashlee is the middle child and is married to Jason Roberts. They live here in Sparta and together they have Austin, Tristan, Lucas, Braylon, and Mady Grace. The baby is Zack and he is married to Kari. They also live in Sparta and they have grandson Keaton & Harrison. Caden & Cohen are their great-grandsons. Pastor Brent and Janet retired from Sonic last year after 42 years.

Brent Tevebaugh, who was destined for ministry from a young age as his mother predicted, has served as the pastor of CLF since 2000. For 45 years, he has been happily married to Janet, his best friend and partner in life. Together, they are blessed with three children, eight grandchildren, and two great-grandsons.

Their eldest, Amanda, is married to Lee Carmichael, and they live in Chattanooga with their granddaughter, Coco. Ashlee, their middle child, is married to Jason Roberts, and they reside in Sparta with their five children: Austin, Tristan, Lucas, Braylon, and Mady Grace. The youngest, Zack, is married to Kari, and they also live in Sparta, where they have two grandsons, Keaton and Harrison, along with great-grandsons, Caden and Cohen.

After 42 years of dedicated service at Sonic, Pastor Brent and Janet retired last year. Even in retirement, Pastor Brent keeps busy with more than just his pastoral duties—he enjoys caring for his horses, chickens, dogs, rabbits, and a cat. He also loves spending time in nature, hiking through the woods.

Jason Roberts is the youth leader here at CLF.

He is a life long member here at CLF. He's married to the love of his life Ashlee. They have 5 child and 3 grandsons.

Youth Pastor

Rev/Dr. David and Sherri Purdy
Have been married for 48 years. Ministering at the church for 10 years.
David preaches and teaches the Word of God and Sherri, a vocalist and Sunday School teacher with adults.
David has a doctorate degree in Theology and Biblical Counseling.
